Bajaj Chetak electric
The Chetak name returned to the Indian two-wheeler space with the launch of Bajaj’s first electric scooter. The Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is available in two variants: Urbane and Premium. Bajaj offers the Chetak in two variants: Urbane and Premium. The former gets a front drum brake and comes in two colours: yellow and white. The Premium variant has a front disc brake. There are four colours on the Premium variant: black, beige, blue and red.

Ather 450X
Ather has inaugurated its first showroom in Bombay and begun deliveries, starting with the limited edition Series 1 e-scooter based on the 450X. The brand also recently introduced a unique buyback plan for the Ather 450X. As per the scheme, Ather will buy back the 450X for Rs 85,000 if customers want to part ways with the scooter. That aside, the brand has also introduced a lease plan and exchange offers for the 450X which will make the scooter more accessible to customers who aren't willing to pay the full price up front. The 450X is available in two variants: the 450X and the 450 Plus. The price of the 450 Plus has been revised to Rs 1,39,999, while the 450X will cost you Rs 1,59,000 (including GST and FAME II subsidies). With a true top speed of 80kmph and a 0-40kmph time of just 3.9 seconds, the Ather 450X electric scooter offers healthy performance thanks to a new and more powerful 6kW, 26Nm Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) motor.
Being a smart scooter, it also gets superior connectivity and intelligent features such as in-built Google Maps navigation and digital document storage. All these features can be used via the 7-inch colour touchscreen which has seen updates in the form of a 1.3 Ghz Snapdragon processor and is built on an Android Open Source operating system. Also new is Bluetooth connectivity enabling music & call controls and the 450X comes with integrated 4G LTE SIM connectivity. Go juice is stored in a 2.9kWh battery pack that delivers a claimed range of 70km in Ride mode and 85km in Eco.
There are multiple ways to charge the improved lithium-ion battery pack. An Ather Dot home charger is provided with the scooter, with which the top up from 0 to 80 percent will require 4.5 hours, while fast charging from the AtherGrid guarantees a rate of 1km per minute of charge, upto 80percent.
Stopping power comes from disc brakes front and rear with a combined braking system, while suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork and monoshock. The 450X can currently be booked in Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
The price of Ather 450X starts at Rs. 1.27 Lakh and goes upto Rs. 1.46 Lakh. Ather 450X is offered in 2 variants - 450 Plus and the top variant 450X 450X which comes at a price tag of Rs. 1.46 Lakh.
